a very concise but comprehensive source of China info, submitted by dxx2008 at 2009-07-14 20:44:18 Rating:
Review: This website offers a good and simple starting point for data research about China, including map, geography, people, government, economy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues. It is updated regularly but only the current version is available online for browsing. Also importantly, you may email their staff if you have questions or comments. Free of charge.

Review: I use this site very regularly. It comes in handy for overview looks on different countries. Most importantly, it is frequently updated and therefore the information should be very timely.

Review: The Library of Congress provides a more comprehensive report about China. COUNTRY PROFILE: CHINA

Great Starting Point, submitted by A Beginner at 2009-07-14 20:37:03 Rating:
Review: I knew very little about China until recently I participated in a sourcing project in China. The CIA Factbook not only gave us a jump start on market and industry analysis, but also helped build trust with our Chinese suppliers, who were very impressed by our knowledge about their country. I basically use it as my cheatsheet throughout the negotiation process.
